SPRING-HEELED JACK
Steel Jack, Spring Jack, Long Heeled Jack
Before Jack the Ripper terrorized London back in 1888, Spring-Heeled Jack was tormenting citizens with his claws and devilish appearance. In London, his name was associated with the Boogeyman, and was used to scare children into behaving themselves, with parents claiming Spring-Heeled Jack would leap up to peer into their bedroom windows at night and take them away. He was known to perform wicked pranks, crash carriages and scare women into dangerous fits, some being severely wounded by his sharp metallic claws, as he tore their clothing away to explose their flesh. There are even reports of people dying due to his attacks. He was capable of belching out blue and white phosphorus flames and making extremely high, superhuman leaps, jumping across building and over high walls, which he often did to make his escape after attacking his victims. During his reign of mischievouse terror, he was sighted throughout many London locations, even being seen as far north as Liverpool and Scotland.
Physiology:
Spring-heeled Jack was described by witnesses as having a frightful and diabolical appearance, with sharp metallic claws at his fingertips, and eyes that resembled red balls of fire. He wore a black cloak, which, beneath he wore a helmet and a tight-fitting white garment like an oilskin. Many accounts of him mention a "Devil-like" aspect. Others claim he was tall and thin, with the appearance of a gentleman, that could speak comprehensible English.
Etylmology:
The Spring-Heeled part of the name originates from his ability to make huge supernatural leaps, where as "Jack" was the generic name for the common man used during the victorian era.

The first sightings of Spring-heeled Jack was in London in October 1837 by a servant girl named Mary Stevens, whom was walking to Lavender Hill, through Clapham Common after visiting her parents in Battersea.
Territory:
England and Scotland
Origination:
Many explanations have been made in an attempt to explain the origin of Spring-heeled Jack, including that he was an extraterrestrial with from a high-gravity world, which gave him his ability to leap extraordinary heights and that he was a demon, either summoned into this world by practitioners of the occult, or who made himself manifest simply to create spiritual turmoil.
Nature:
Mischievous and dangerous. Spring-Heeled Jack comes across as a prankster figure, but harbours a darker intent, as shown from his attacks on women and others, some whom have supposedly lost their lives at his hands.
Modus Operandi:
Prefers to suprize his victims, leaping from the shadows, though, has also shown deception luring victims away from safety. Will belch fire or use metallic claws to attack. If suprized he will flee, leaping great heights if necessary.
Vulnerability:
Unknown. As nobody truly knows the origin of this mysterious figure, it is difficult to draw any conclusions on this particular subject. Although displaying extraordinary feats of agility and the ability to breath flames, he showed no additional feats when confronted, choosing to flee the scene instead. This could hint at a fear of harm or capture, in which case it could be possible Spring-Heeled Jack had the same vulnerabilities as any normal man.
